Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The lovely city of Riccione, on the Adriatic coast, will host from May 29 to May 31, 2011, the 34th edition of the National Congress of the Italian Association for the Study of Pain, in its modern and most efficient Congress Palace. The programme will offer, as always, a wide range of choices in the fields of pathophysiology, pharmacology, clinical aspects but mostly new therapeutic options.
The format, including plenary sessions, workshops, symposia and poster sessions, will this year be enriched by the newly reintroduced refresher courses on 'hot topics', to update participants in areas where most advancement has recently been achieved. Special initiatives will be devoted to debating the new national law on palliative care and pain therapy and its outcome during the first year of application. Even more than in past editions, young researchers will be given space to present the results of their work. We trust that this rich offer will attract you in great number! See you in Riccione, for a fruitful interaction towards a better management of the suffering patient
